Schools
The Italian School Committee was established in 1985
to foster education, cultural understanding and to promote
the Italian culture and language. Our committee receives
a funding contribution from the Italian Government and
we have the cooperative support of the Italian Consulate
in Brisbane. We work in co-operation with Education
Queensland both at a local and state level and assist
in the delivery of Italian language LOTE classes and
teacher professional development across the Sunshine
Coast.

A
delegation from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
visited North Lakes State College to view the Italian
language program, meet the administration and teachers
and also be entertained by the Italian language students.
Thank you to the school for the warm welcome they extended
to the visitors, who were most impressed by what they
experienced at the school.
